I write about watching football. Not tactics in any rigorous sense, not transfers, and definitely not news — there are people far better at all three. Mostly this is a notebook for the things that stay with me after a match has finished and the result has stopped mattering.
The domain is a leftover. I bought it in a fit of enthusiasm before the tournament this summer, intending to write something daily, managed about a week, and then kept the address because re-pointing DNS is more effort than living with a slightly silly URL. It has grown on me.
Everything here is opinion. Where I mention matches, I am writing from memory and from my own notes, not from a database, so treat any detail as approximate. If something is wrong it is a mistake rather than a position.
